Cee-Lo Green to Reunite With Goodie Mob for New Album

Cee-Lo Green is returning to his rap roots - he is making plans to reunite his former hip-hop group Goodie Mob. Green found fame as a member of the rap group in the 1990s, but quit in 2000 and went on to win even greater worldwide recognition in duo Gnarls Barkley and by singing solo R&B tracks.

'I really want to go back to my roots and do a little rapping,' the Gnarls Barkley star says of his plan to reunite with his former band. Now the "Forget You" hitmaker and his former band mates are stepping back into the studio to work on a new hip-hop album. He tells Britain's Daily Star, "I really want to go back to my roots and do a little rapping. It's been a fabulous experience reuniting with Goodie Mob after 15 years and seeing how we all turned out."

"Plus it's interesting to see how I've developed as a rapper after so long out of practice." Green previously reformed the group for a one-off concert in Atlanta, Georgia in 2009.
