Let's Help BLITZ Finish "NATIVE SUN" Film Project

Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Blitz the Ambassador grew up to the sounds of Afro-Beat, Highlife, Jazz, and Motown. But when his older brother introduced him to Public Enemy’s classic album, It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, as a young boy, he was changed forever. “I had never heard young Black people express themselves in that way before,” recalls Blitz.

After moving to the U.S. to attend college, Blitz continued to hone his musical skills, releasing several mixtapes as an undergrad at Kent State University. After graduation, Blitz moved to New York City to pursue his dream.

His upcoming project, Native Sun, is both an album and a short film inspired by Ghana.
However, the Ghanaian is being held back in the financing of this AMAZING PROJECT! He calls on everyone to help his finish up the good work he has started. He says “Help us finish the Native Sun short film! We can't do it without you...

NATIVE SUN - The Project
"Native Sun," is a short-film, set in Ghana that follows an imaginative young boy as he searches for his father. The movie which is written and co-directed by Blitz the Ambassador, features music from his upcoming album of the same title. “We completed filming over two week in November, but we are now seeking funds to finish color correction, editing, and sound design.” Blitz says.

He explains further saying, “It was important for us to create a visual representation of Africa that is different from the average perspective of poverty and despair. We tried to capture the beauty, conflicts, and contradictions, of Ghana through the whimsical eyes of a young boy.”

"Native Sun," the short-film, is the visual accompaniment to Blitz the Ambassador's second album, which will be released on May 3. If you like what you see, please contribute, and help us show a new vision of Africa.
