Jagged Edge Return With a New Album

The Grammy-nominated R&B group preps the release of their seventh album, The Remedy.

Former Sosodef R&B artist Jagged Edge is back with a new album and a new label. The four-member Atlanta-based group will release their seventh album, The Remedy, on Slip-N-Slide Records/EMI on June 21. With all of the original members, Jagged Edge will attempt a comeback in this very different R&B market.

The group, originally founded by Jermaine Dupri, is responsible for classic R&B cuts such as "Promise" and "Let's Get Married." On their new album, they will return to that timeless, sensual and honest sound that made the aforementioned hits resonate with true R&B fans.

The video for the album's first single, "Baby," is being shot in Atlanta by famed music video director Yolande Geralds (known for her recent work with Trey Songz). The song is already gaining momentum on urban radio (listen to it here).

In a statement, CEO of Slip-N-Slide Records Ted Lucas, who has been instrumental in the careers of Trick Daddy and Trina, talked about how excited he was to be working with JE.
"Jagged Edge will help usher in a new era at Slip-N-Slide records with The Remedy," he said.
