During the Official Launch of the MTN Ghana Music Award Festival at the poolside of Golden Tulip, the New Fylla newspaper had the opportunity to chat with Ghana’s Man of the moment, John Dumelo. He revealed his plans for the year - John would be launching a foundation and a clothing line.
The clothing line is to support his upcoming foundation and would be tagged as J. Melo which represents his name. The foundation is to provide education for the less fortunate (street livers).
John looks forward to launch both the foundation and the clothing line in two or three month’s time. He said the society has done a lot for him and the only way that could be appropriate for him to express his gratitude is to provide the less-privileged with the key to success.
Delving into his career, Dumelo believes he has no competitor. “Is not a competition, umm…we are all acting, God has given us the talent you know …I see everybody as a colleague so that’s It,” John’s added.
The handsome looking actor is not married but dating. He refused to mention the fiancée’s name - he said “you paa…. what do you need her name for? Sorry she’s not a colleague,” he smiled. He called on firms to support his humble project and thanked everyone who supported him from day one. “I love you all” he concluded.
