Lil Wayne recently revealed in an interview with XXL magazine that his upcoming 'Tha Carter IV' may be his final album. Assuming it is, and that Mr. Carter doesn't pull a Sean Carter, the August 29 release looks to be an amazing adieu. The LP features
Busta Rhymes, Bun B, Cee Lo, John Legend, Tech N9ne, in addition to his Young Money mates. The album's own farewell track, the outro, will host a nasty NY trio comprised of Jadakiss, Nas, and Shyne. The production was handled by Swizz Beats, Bangladesh, Polow Da Don, and Boi-1da.
The New Orleans native attributed his nearing 30, in addition to the aging of his four kids as the main reason for his early retirement.
Weezy went on to say "I honestly think it’s unfair to my kids...I was raised like, Don’t let no other man take care of yours. Even if you gotta take the sacrifice of quitting what you love the most."
As a sneak preview, the aptly named 'Sorry 4 the Wait' mixtape will come out on today July 13.
