We didn't think it was possible, but things are getting uglier between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj.
Kim, who has been on an all-out war path against Minaj for the past several months, recently released the artwork for her upcoming mixtape "Black Friday," and it isn't pretty. On the cover, Minaj's decapitated body spurts blood while Kim brandishes a dripping kitana sword— a head adorned with a pink wig lying at her side.
The title of the mixtape is itself, of course, a spoof of Minaj's platinum-selling "Pink Friday" album from last year, and Kim's version contains numerous overt diss tracks aimed at the Young Money princess.
On 18th February, Kim celebrated what she claimed were record sales for "Black Friday," which is available for purchase via PayPal for $9.99. Kim tweeted that the album sold 113,000 copies in 28 hours.
"“Thanks to you guys!! #lilkimblackfridaymixtape sold 113,000 copies in 28 hours, which made me the #1 seller on paypal ever =) !!! THANK U!” she wrote, claiming that the high traffic from her mixtape sale "shut the Paypal system down."
Nicki, not quite able to resist comment, declared her amusement at Kim's statements.
“Bwaahhhhahhahahahahahahhahahhhaaahhhhhaaahahahahhhaha!!!!!!!! *lifeless* *leaves on stretcher* *cant go on*,” she tweeted. And later, via a follower: "The devil is a liar."
Kim didn't waste time firing back, of course, but in a rare moment, acknowledged at least one layer of the silliness surrounding the online feud.
“#twitterbeef This is not beef. Real beef is when someone gets shot 5 minutes later. CHILD PLEASE!!! #toomanytwittergangstas #teamlilkim LEGO,” she said.
